  • COMPETITION WINNERS!

    Competition winners, Shrewton Primary, proudly received 30 proof copies of The Peculiar Peggs of Riddling Woods by the Tasmanian author Samuel J Halpin. Not available in stores until 2019, this riveting adventure which gallops through twisting woods and chilling mystery, has been given to Shrewton School for a sneak preview by Usborne Books! Students are frantic to dive into this tale where they will be hunting for the tools the author uses – comparing them with those they use themselves! Such a high quality, engaging text will enrich guided reading sessions at this school full of writers. With promises of video linkups with this debut author, children are filled with passion about reading and are already devouring ths mystery of Riddling Woods!

    This morning we walked down to St. Mary's Church for our Harvest Festival. It was a lovely service full of singing and contributions from each class. Thank You to everyone who was able to join us.

    Thank You to all families who were able to make it to our first Parents' Evening. As a staff team, we felt it was an evening full of positivity and have enjoyed reading the comments you left in their books! 

     

    If you were unable to make it, please make an appointment at the office for a time to meet your child's teacher after school. Also, any questionnaire's need to be returned by Monday.

  • Fire Brigade Visit

    Today every class has had a session with the fire brigade - they have been super listeners and some even got to dress up as a firefighter! Be sure to ask them how you can stay safe from fire at home.
