    Fri 07 May 2021

    Happy Friday, Everyone!

I hope you have all had a positive week.

We have ended the week on a high with two of our Year 6 Leaders leading Celebration Worship by themselves which was a joy to watch. A big well done to all our certificate winners this week too.

I have attached a couple of interesting documents - one breaking down online statistics of young people using the internet and one with some things to try with your children if they every feel anxious or worried. I hope you find them useful.

    Wishing you a wonderful weekend,

  • Covid Cases over Easter

    Wed 31 Mar 2021

Over the course of the Easter holidays it continues to be important that you inform us of a positive pupil case on enquiries@shrewton.dsat.org.uk so we can action accordingly. This is particularly important over the coming bank holiday weekend as it would result in us having to contact close contacts to inform them to isolate and also inform Public Health England.

Reminder information can be found on our covid information page.

Thank you for your continued support in relation to this - it is really appreciated.

  • Hooray for Thursday!

Thu 11 Feb 2021 Mrs Mullord

    Hi Team Shrewton!

I hope you are all feeling happy and healthy today.

We are looking forward to seeing you in worship tomorrow morning and to seeing all your amazing 'Bake Off' entries - they are AWESOME! We may need to start our own Shrewton bakery as a side line business! Now the snow has melted away, I feel that there is a sense of Spring in the air - lighter evenings, beautiful flowers, new lambs bounding around the fields and with all that a sense of hope!

Just in case you haven't seen it, here is a link to a worship from Mr Lacey, our DSAT CEO for you to enjoy: https://diocese-of-salisbury-academy-trust.primarysite.media/media/collective-worship-february-2021

We will also be sharing a newsletter tomorrow too to round up the term.

In the meantime, one day to go before the half term break - never has it been more deserved!

With our thanks for your continuous support and boundless energy,

    Emily Mullord

  • Self Love Time

    Mon 08 Feb 2021
    Happy Thursday, Team Shrewton!

I was just watching the rain and thinking about how brilliant you are so I thought I'd tell you so!!

I know we are getting a bit tired now but you all (parents included) should be so proud of your commitment and dedication to your learning. Your future self really will thank you for your efforts.

Please remember to take a break if you need it - head out for a long, muddy walk, bake your cake for our competition, try a new recipe, cosy up with a new book, make yourself laugh or have a doodle. It's important that you invest in some self love and give yourself time to rest too.

And remember, that you are special.

Parents - I have attached a useful poster about how to support your child expressing themselves online, what fills and empties their emotional cup and also some top tips for supporting their mental wellbeing.

Wishing you a wonderful day; stay safe and keep smiling!

  • Happy Friday and Well Done!

Fri 08 Jan 2021 Mrs Mullord

    Happy Friday, Team Shrewton!

What a whirlwind of a week!

A big well done and thank you to you all for your amazing resilience, positivity and commitment to your pupils learning. We really appreciate everything that you are doing!

With such a quick turn around from Monday evening, it was inevitable we would have some kinks to iron out this week, especially while setting all the meetings for live lessons so thank you for your patience with this.

As the weekend draws near, please take time to relax, reset and be kind to yourselves and we look forward to seeing you, one way or another, next week.

As always, stay safe, smiling and socially distancing!

    Mrs Mullord

  • Parks get the job done!

Thu 07 Jan 2021 Mrs Mullord

SUPER PROUD of Parks Class! As part of their social action work with GuL, they campaigned and wrote to the Council to improve litter in our village. Check out the reply they got from the Councillor for Till and Wylye Valley. Not only will they get some bins and get to decide their location but have been asked to apply for a grant for litter pickers!

    Such courageous advocates!

  • Home Learning Update

Tue 05 Jan 2021 Mrs Mullord

    Good Afternoon, Team!

I hope you are all keeping well. Thank you for your patience today while we finished sorting everything out.

Just a quick update from me today regarding home learning as you will also be receiving separate information from your class teacher.

There are three places that you will need to be using:

    1. The 'Continued Home Learning - Spring 2021' page under the 'Community' tab on our website. There, in your child's class folder, you will find a weekly timetable, home learning ideas and our topic knowledge organisers/topic web for the term (weekly for Reception).

On this page I will also post new generic resources at the top and go back to updating the worship and certificate folders.

    2. Your Microsoft Teams account. We will be using this for all live sessions, including worship. You can access these from your calendars (guide to Teams attached), in the files section you will find subject specific resources and the assignment section for some activities. Einstein Class, other than your live sessions, we will continue to use Tapestry so you can share your learning with us as normal.

The set up is very similar to last time but with the addition of 3 live class sessions a week (timetabled attached) via Teams which you will receive an invite for. These have been timetabled for sessions when staff are not in school and to avoid any sibling clashes. We also hope to record some of the inputs for pupils to re-watch or for any unable to make it. The recording will go into the chat section. If you do not want your child to be on the video, please join the meeting with your camera off. They will be viewed via MS Stream by only class members and will be unable to download.

    3. Our Youtube Channel 'Shrewton CE Online' will be the home of any worship from Rev. Eleanor and her team and maybe some other bits as we get inspired through the term!

If you would like an exercise workbook to complete work in, we will have some in they foyer tomorrow for you to come down and help yourself. Again, if anyone needs support with technology, please let us know.

For children who we have confirmed will be attending provision, the timing of the day will be 8:45am - 3:15pm via the Tanners Lane field entrance. Their learning will mirror what is being set for their class at home.

Remember to share your amazing efforts at home and follow us on Twitter @ShrewtonSchool to see what everyone is up to and for quick bursts of information.

Finally, I have attached a couple of pictures that I have found helpful today. I hope you do too.

We will keep in touch - best of luck starting your home learning journey 2.0 tomorrow :) You know where we are if you need us!
