Gangsta Granny by David Walliams - Part 2

Hello! Just checking in that everyone is doing okay. I also want to remind you that any home learning put on here is just a suggestion. You are NOT expected to do hours and hours of work a day. A little when you can is the way forward unless a packed timetable works for you!

I also think it is important not to feel pressure from the likes of social media - with so, so many people posting their minute by minute activities on a daily basis. You know what, we are all doing our best and that is what matters. Cuddle your kids, read stories and nip out in the back garden whilst they're playing minecraft for a sneeky grown up drink.

We are all in this together.

Lots of love,

Mrs Howell x

Welcome to your Home Learning page!

Hello everyone, whilst it is so sad that you may not be able to come to school for the time being, we want you to have a place to access work and learning that you can do at home to keep a little normality in your lives!

I have uploaded a weekly planner that you my choose to follow to stick as closely as you can to our normal structure when in school. There are lots of ideas there that you can follow to the dot or you can make your own! I have tried to make the learning accessible or everyone so I have not uploaded tons of worksheets that need printing out. It is all things you can do with just a pencil and some paper.

If you would like to access more learning, sites like Twinkl are amazing for learning and teaching resources! Twinkl are offering free access to parents during this tough time so take advantage as it is wonderful!

If you have any worries, questions or just want to keep in touch, I have included my email address on the planner. Please don't hesitate to email me.

Take care, be safe, look after each other.

Mrs Howell.

Hello Everyone,

Just a side note here from Mrs Henderson.

I have added our topic leaflets below, we have being looking at a comparison between London and Salisbury. We have covered most of the topic, however we did not have a chance to get onto to the Royal Family. It would be fantastic if you wanted to have a look at the Queen and do a family tree. We were going to end the topic with an invitation to attend an afternoon tea with the Queen which could be a fun thing to do together!

We also looked at sounds of the city in music. We were using body percussion and Stomp who create music out of everyday items/recycled items. It would be really amazing for everyone to make an instrument from some recycled materials and again a really good activity to do as a family. This website has some great suggestions on how to do that. https://www.howweelearn.com/spectacular-homemade-musical-instruments/

We have just started looking at sequencing in ICT and use an app called CODESPARK. This is available to download and each pupil does have their own profile. If you would like to download this and would like the class code please email me and let me know, the code only lasts for 48 hours but once you have logged in once you don't need another code.

The whole class have been doing so well with their spellings and handwriting so any effort to keep this up will be great. I will send some more spellings in the next couple of weeks to keep you all going.

Please feel free to get in touch with any questions. Wishing for everyone to stay safe.
