It's Term 4 ALREADY!
Wow, where on earth is this year going? It won't be long (we hope) until the sun is shining and we are playing sports on the field!
This Term started with a BANG! As we so proudly began knowing we had received a 'Good' grading from Ofsted.
Our topic this term is Bright lights, Big City! We began learning all about the Great Fire of London. The children were so interested and we had a History lesson that was so interesting Mrs Mullord said when she walked in the classroom she could feel the thirst for learning!
We have been looking at weight and measure in Maths and even turned the classroom into Hogwarts for a morning! We made potions to help our understanding of capacity and measured out lots of random items too!
Welcome to Term 3!
Wow, time flies when you're having fun! I cannot believe we are already halfway through Term 3. The children came back after Christmas with a brilliant attitude to their learning and our new topic, 'Wriggle and Crawl' has started off with a BANG! We had two days of Art based learning and have filled our classroom with amazing mini-beasts! We have been on a very successful bug hunt, finding worms, centipedes, woodlice and much more!

Welcome to Term 2!
Wow, can you believe that we are now on the countdown to Christmas? In Dahl Class, we have a whole term packed full of greatness! Our topic this term is 'Towers, Tunnels and Turrets'. During the topic we will build castles, study great engineers - Brunel in particular! We will take a school trip to Bristol to see the SS Great Britain and much more!
In the lead up to Christmas, we will also be working on our Key Stage nativity, practicing festive songs for our carol concert and getting creative in our Art and D.T lessons - creative a range of Christmas based items for the children to treasure and bring home!
It is going to be a fantastic fun filled term - so keep your eyes peeled for photos and updates of our adventures.
The Big Clean Up! Our whole school took to the outside area and in the spirit of our core values, looked after our environment and cleaned up the playground, field and school perimeter #community #ecoschool #believeachievegrow
DAHL CLASS GET FESTIVE! - With Christmas looming, it is time to put up the tree!
A very warm welcome to Dahl Class!
It has been a wonderful (if not a little chilly) start to the year. Already, we have enjoyed getting stuck in to our first topic of the year, 'Superheroes!'. We have learnt the story of Supertato and even had a go at writing some of our own!
We have also started writing instructions and as a class we had a great time making and eating jam sandwiches! They were soooooo delicious we all ate seconds!
Our class stories have been based on Roald Dahl as it is our class name. The first book we read was George's Marvellous Medicine - we laughed out loud a lot! As a class, we then decided to read James and the Giant Peach! We have just got to the part where James goes inside the peach.
Over the next 2 weeks, our Superhero topic takes us in a healthy direction as we are going to find out what foods are healthy, write some recipes and finally cook some delightful food!
We cannot believe how fast this first term is going, it has been so much fun already!

WELCOME TO EAGLE CLASS!!!
We cannot believe it is Term 5 already and we are half way through! Where has this year gone? Our topic this term is Road Trip USA! We are taking a journey through several different U.S states and finding out all about them as we travel! Miss Howard is sharing her own knowledge of America, as she went on a road trip in 2016!
Have you ever been to the USA? Please feel free to bring in and share any photos, journals and knowledge you have of America!
